storms and the dark

The rain is coming down heavily, like the thoughts and the feelings that occupy my heart and mind. It's the middle of the afternoon, but I'm shaking in your arms like a child, but lately, I have been feeling like a man of fire.

The thunder is getting louder like the voice no longer stuck in my throat. If I can beat death not once but twice, I know I can survive any damn anything, even in the moments where I hear the angels sing. my song telling me we love now move along

I am thirsty, but the water that falls from the sky refuses like a river for my mouth and soul to run dry there is no going back home again when you going down a one-way road

The lightning is in my heart saying you do not always need to wear it on your sleeve once in a while, you need to keep it in your pocket and just find a reason to believe.

The storm has stopped I'm going outside to go play in the puddles as I did as a child before the streetlights came on because I'm no longer afraid of storms or the dark
