Lack of Understanding

The haunting still thrives,
Fueled by shadows of lust.
Memories of a blind conquest,
For a soul I did not trust.

Wagering an existence,
With no vision in sight.
Shoveling out emotions,
A desperate and pointless plight.

Difficult to understand,
The effects of her affection.
A psychological implosion,
A total loss of direction.
