Depression

Depression.

Like diabetes it is an illness, the same counts for depression.

I don't look ill, but let me tell you- this is real. We suffer in silence, our own darkness we have to deal.

You find yourself being numb, tired, suicidal. Everything about you is just so fragile.

Mental clinics in and out. What am I all about we ask. Hand full of medication. Sleep is our minds only restoration.

Dear loved ones, THIS is real. This illness can kill. Have an open heart, be a ear, reach out and help us with our fears.

Never say it is MY depression. It's not. This is not you. It's just a cloudy season we going through
