On her own she built her kingdom

On her own she built her kingdom
June 24.2023

“The world is not your enemy,
Please know you don’t have no enemy,
I have no enemies

On my own
On my own
I was in a world that gave me love
That in my eyes I thought it was love
Turn out to be just a lie in disguise
I fall for it
I fall for it
I was I fool who couldn’t see
Even with the signs shown to me
Kind hearted in the soul
Kind hearted in the heart
Kind hearted in the spirit
Kind hearted in the brain
I was to kind that I let them walk all over me

I thought I was being a great person
Turn out to be that I was soft
Softer than  a pillow
Softer than a blanket
I was just to soft
I beat myself down to much
Over things that were out of my control
I can’t control what you think about me
I can’t control about the image that you see of me
What I can control is the person that I want to be

So on my own I built a empire
That could never be broken
I cut off some London Bridges
Burn them all up
I watch my house burn down
Right in my face
But tears of joy
Were the only thing falling out my eyes
I had to do
What must be done
I can’t keep this fantasy of lies to live anymore
Reality might be a bitter pill
But the truth from a bitter pill is what heals

I got back stabbed so many times
I rely on people
Who didn’t rely on me
The benefits that I gave is all they wanted
In my eyes I trusted them
But realized that the trust that I once knew wasn’t what it seemed to me
When I needed them the most
They didn’t need me in return
I take accountability for giving you a little piece of myself
I shouldn’t have done that
But I take accountability for it
So I would want to forgive myself
Cleanse in the water of purity
For I’m not pure
But the dirt I carry most come off
“Get in that water, and clean yourself up my child. Stop running away from truth and heal yourself a little more”.
Heal this part of me
Heal this pain I’m feeling
Clean this tears that are falling
For I have no where else to call home, but YOU

Would you
Would you leave me like the rest do
Are you leaving me behind
When I need you to stay
Are you giving me a little love
When pour a lot into your cup
Are you ghosting me
To leave me in the mist
Are you going to leave me in the coward like I’m a nobody
For if you do
I hope you find what you looking for
I hope you get the peace and happiness you where searching for
Even tho you couldn’t find that in me
I hope you find it somewhere else
You not my enemy
For I have no enemies

I lost so many folks
I lost so many friends
I cut ties with those I called, “close”
For there wasn’t anything
That was close about us
You see this
This is a kingdom
I built on my own
It took me years
Years to build it
But I finally built it
I finally built it
Now I can give myself a pat on the back
For a job well done
I welcome you to this kingdom
Come enjoy this accomplishment with me
As I celebrate with those close to me
My friends and family who mean dear to me
Come enjoy this kingdom with me
For I invite
Come enjoy this kingdom with me
To my children
To my grandchildren
To my future grandchildren
Come enjoy this kingdom with me
To my husband
To my ex’s
To the man I had bad relationships with
To the man that shamed me
To the man that hurt me
To the man I caused damage to
To the man I broke his heart in two
Please forgive me
For you not my enemy
But look at the kingdom I built on my own
I did it even when you said I couldn’t
But I also did it even when you said I could do it
To my ex friends
To the people who talk about me
To the people who speak ill on me
To the people who blessed me
To the people who don’t like me
To the people who love me
To the people who care about me
Come
Come see the kingdom I built on my own
Don’t be jealous
But be happy for me
For it wasn’t easy doing it on my own without your support

“The world is not your enemy,
Please know you don’t have no enemy,
I have no enemies
