Cry of Love 2

Charles Fields II 1955 (Fort Bragg, NC)

We are the clockwork
of wondrous dreams

Despite our insistence
on straying from our course

Perhaps more so because of it,

helpless to resist
the drift of the next dimension

where we will be enabled
to shift

sure as we exist
leaping dimensions beyond

places, we’d ever imagined
we might be enabled to go

before Forward
towards

or backward
reverse

Or sideways
around in perpetual orbit

of our twilight dimensions
written into our ad lib script

Be this our manifest destiny
of Heaven/Hell.

It’s in our genes
to widen our horizons

Falling in and out of phase
between our minds And souls,

freefalling
through our histories

Beyond our tendency
to try to kill one another

To rule and possess resources,
wealth, land, water, food,

desire and dictate
 the story of this

Demonstrating another side
of this being, we are

Children of the stars
in danger of losing
ourselves

in fear of losing
control,

timeless
beings

Caught in a state
of ever-changing reality

Like flurries of raindrops
falling through space

To turning
the wheels of creation

To kiss and tell
each momentary nuance

In this epic journey
through eternity

As explored
by the double helix
I
n the array of circumstance
each one a prayer

With some degree
of opportunity

A chance
to carry the spark

To ride the wave
this very moment of destiny

A cry to love
as each particle

Continues
in the dance of life

Discrete as snowflakes
No two alike

Each one similarly
different from the rest

each one
a symbol of the awe

of all that
we are,

And can ever believe
we might be

In light from where we’ve come
as collective human beings

a trinity

Man
woman/ child

as we seek
to be the blessed

Loving we seek

with the gift
of togetherness

Having
pure thought,

doing what we must
To succeed

balancing equations

With each
unique expression

Of this
our blessing

In our song
to eternity

Creating the space
for us to breathe

So that
we can proceed

To Live

Building momentum

Invoking the need…

Bringing rhythm
To the heartbeat of humanity

Planting The seed
