Wondering Soul

By: Valerie Sulick
As I walk along this path I search for a way. A way to feel, a way to love better. A way to search for my soul. I'm so lost as I steer the path of day and night. The battle is hardly worth the fight. At the end of the day there is nothing but darkness but lost souls trying to find the light again. As I linger I try not to fight. I try to do it right. There is no end to this madness. Accept a leaping hall of fear. I'm calling out for someone to hear to rescue me. I pray I will be shown the way. A way that a light shines down on me. That helps me when I stumble and won't let me fall. That grasps me by hand and pulls me up high out of this pit that I have fallen into. For I am a lost soul just wondering til I find my way back. Til then the battle will not stop. Through heaven and hell I will search. I won't stop til I'm found again and raise like a Phoenix from the ashes that have fallen.
