How Very Loved

Free verse
love is the finest kind
Words don’t need sounds to carry feeling
Feelings don’t need speech
to share meaning
And I’ve rediscovered
that
I don’t need a lot of noise or effort
to let you know how glad I am to be across the room
Or
how very loved you are
