Healer

There’s a gentleness in my spirit
One of great peace
I’ve seen many wars
And fell prey
to more than 1,000 defeats

Like the eye of a storm
Raging far out at sea
emotions im projecting out
mirror back to me

Dominating every field
emotional intelligence’s my specialty
It’s veracity exclusive only to me
Solidarity in self is all I seek
Facilitating countless universes

Farther than even
Maha Saham can see
maintaining self control
Is undoubtedly necessary
control is what i seek

Karma on my side
How could I not survive
Success is here
Rattling near
I’m tethered on its line

My bones and flesh
Now Vitreous
Defeat turned my heart to ice
Stick and stones
Have been thrown

Yet and still
I shine and shine
Anything else
just could not be
It’s crucial that you see

Warrior in the raging war
No greater defense can’t you see
gratitude for the divine
shrouding myself in thee

abating enemies senses
Change is at my feet
And this
These words
This breath
This here
It’s all a part of me

Up and down
Across and over
That’s just how it be
sands of time
chug right on by

Just like that you see
divided by the sands of time
transcended hate to love
My love surrounds

Filling cups to over flow with love
I’ve only just begun
So jump on in and let’s begin
To heal ourselves within

Paige Tate

I am a 31 year old HOMELESS, African American author. My life story and poetry were written as a way for me to express my feelings, thoughts and perspective. I needed a way to process all of the pain and trauma I’d experienced as a child so I began to write. I’ve always kept a journal and used writing to escape my hellish reality. Through ALL of that I BELIEVE that IT IS POSSIBLE for me to be the person God called me to be. Instead of turning and running from my fears, vicious generational cycles. I’m navigating this world the best way that I can with Gods grace, PATIENCE and guidance. By being obedient to his directions. My personal history is littered with sexual assault and many other forms of abuse I had to learn to HEAL MYSELF. more…
