Clovers
Clovers
Once upon a time,
there was a four leaf clover.
It grew one sunny day underneath a rainbow,
after the rain had fallen.
All the other three leaf clovers
were fascinated by it’s beauty.
But they didn’t know what to do with it,
as it was different from them all.
Soon after, more and more four leaf clovers rose from the ground.
And now they were becoming a threat to the three leaf ones,
for they had started taking up too much space.
So the biggest clover of them all
decided to tell humanity,
that finding one and plucking it, brought luck.
So people started searching and plucking four leaf clovers all over the world to use for themselves.
And very soon, they became a minority again…
Little did the humans know,
the biggest clover was a liar.
The four leaf clovers did in fact bring luck,
but when you plucked them, they died.
And luck was then lost and not gained -
as selfishness is no virtue worthy.
So next time you find one,
leave it be.
And you might just find -
that luck always follows those with a pure heart.
