Spotlight

Shining down
Unnerving shame
Embarassments on my face
Shrieks in the night
Everything inside to tame
Rejection and doubt
The solace never came
Different and akward
On this stage
Reaching for strength
And everlasting hope
Hard to gauge
In the spotlight
