What Poetry Is

Poetry is,captured moments frozen in time,
thoughts in verse, reflections in rhyme.
Rivers of words that constantly flow.
blossoms of ideas that easily grow.

Poetry is,passion, poetry is pleasure,
fertile imaginations  filled with treasure.
fragrances of fantasy,thrilling romances,
silent melodies, and  graceful dances

Poetry is,a painting of words that display,
spiritual expressions in a special way;
holding a raindrop or ocean swell
in pretty poetic lines written well.

Poetry is a portrait throughout all ages
brought to life in a book's timeless pages.
It  is an enigma, a mystery, a tease.
every unique style  wanting  to please.
