Word raps
Charles Fields II 1955 (Fort Bragg, NC)
Stop living a lie open your eyes
Let the truth be revealed
there is no reason to hide
The true wealth the creator
has provided us with which to start
Resides hidden deep inside our minds
not only your heart
When I say you are a jewel
do you know what I mean?
Pretending that you are peasant
when you are really a king or a queen
Take special care and show appreciation
to everyone who is truly special to you
Even though they may not realize
the reasons for the things that you do
Why does it seem this lesson
in life is so hard?
By cheating yourself
out of life’s greatest reward
When it comes to your life’s happiness
you are in charge
It never should be taken
as a part-time job
When you do what comes naturally
it will make you feel good
Knowing that you
are doing what you should
Try to correct those
whom you love and care for their good
If you care enough to be a friend
then surely you would
The truth will come to be
a joy just because it’s true
When you believe in yourself,
then others truly will believe in you too
When you wrongly
abuse one of your friends
Then you must quickly correct your mistake
and seek to make amends
When you find someone who
you believe you love and need
Remember the creator
has given all of us the seed
Seek out the one
who needs your love to succeed
And if they are truly grateful
see the truth as the reward that you receive
Will be worth every effort that you gave it
(if that’s what you believe)
So that you can better focus
the full strength your life’s energies
Above all others
there is one hard fast rule
You must believe in yourself
and don’t be some bodies lifetime fool
And when you take
a good look at your life
Trying to find that special
kindly person who you really like
That’s willing to become second
and you feel likewise
Just don’t lose the morals
that are important and wise
And helpful when it comes
to the people most special in our eyes
Who sacrifice aid, protect their minds
and make them realize
If you truly are that person’s
reflection inside
Say that prayer to make room in your heart
should you decide
The creator may decide you are truly worthy
if you can forget your pride
For that someone to be the companion
always at your side
If you sincerely desire companionship
you will make the best of lovers
With tenderness and trust that only the creator
can provide for one another
Can you imagine a person who you love
to watch everything you do?
Who builds their world around you,
being so happy just to have found you?
A person who welcomes happiness
with a profound sense of gratitude
A person who respects you and is not rude, v
icious or having a nasty attitude
A person who will be happy
to satisfy you and provide
People who will make you
feel happy just to be alive
Close your eyes and let
the magic work for you
Make what you desire
in others, what you do
Understanding that we
all must compromise
So that we can be happy
for the rest of our lives
It can if you give it the chance
for it to succeed
Be yourself and watch
the creator’s work proceed
Love is the gift of our sacrifice
for others to achieve
If a loving partner is what you desire
that’s what you should be
If great sex is the reward
you expect to receive
To make a better husband or a wife
you’d better grieve
Then you must have a great healing,
loving relationship with your only
No one wants to grow old
feeling sad and lonely
Then it makes you feel
really good to satisfy their needs
When it’s a mutual feeing
then you will have the seed
For what others desire for all their lives
is not difficult to achieve
Just be that special someone
and it will be evident that you believe
People who are your true friends
will treat you like family
They will be generous
when you are genuinely in need
Beware of the people who would like
to call themselves your friends
Only serving to further self interests
when it satisfies their ends
But you are lying to yourself
if you live above your means
Cheating and stealing
from others is obscene
I’m not talking about the folks
who must struggle just stay alive
For the creator has given us plenty
that we may help each other to survive
We are all children to the creator;
if I must, I will be an instigator
We all must have a strong will to share
if we expect to become, something greater
Being cruel and hateful
can only hasten the end of our lives
When you believe in meaningful life
you will support no strife
Things appear to be what they are not;
they are not always what they seem
Happiness should not ever be,
just somebody else’s dream
