Solitude

Judged by his own ego
Once confused with his identity
Now sure of where he stands
An illusion of reality is what his eyes seek
Tempting fate by
Holding the sunrise hostage from the gods
Always watching from behind the mirror of reality
Never stepping through to the other side

Living among the idiots of the world
Using them to satisfy his every desire
Knowing all
Evils that roam among the shadows of the night

Believing in the coldness of his own dark world
Evenings are his playground
Always a question of
Love or hate
Solitude will be his destiny.
