... The Simple Stay ... and Stay ........ And Stay ...

/chorus/:

the simple stay
At the Beginning
their mind, their mind
Is not for winning

oh in the days of
Muchly much
when we are are taught
To be not much

that is when you
Can lose your muchness
growing ever
Out of touchness

with your Soul
We're told not to lose
but if we listen to -
Those who are fooled

into thinking they've
Got it right
even though another
Would call it tripe

/chorus/:

the simple stay
At the Beginning
their mind, their mind
Is not for winning

because our minds
Are low er than
our God - we think
Is as we Understand

not - re al iz ing -
Un til it's too late
that that is not -
A 'thinking' great

but -a- making-up
Here as we go
of a a-noth-er 'god'
Who is soo low

/chorus/:

the simple stay
At the Beginning
their mind, their mind
Is not for winning

and we meet 'him'
In our time on Earth
he is the way
Our thinking births

and will it stayy
Until the end
this 'God' that we think
Is our best friend?

Ev en though we
don't yet even know
How God real ly
is - not here below

/chorus/:

the simple stay
At the Beginning
their mind, their mind
Is not for winning

but we grasp
The ol og ies, we hold
them out for
- Al l l - to see

and say that we
Know that we are right!
ev en though we grasped
Them - in the - night*

not in the day
That we might find -
if leaving theology
somewhat behind

and seek the Brightness
Of the Day
where God and Light
Are sure to Stay

/chorus/:

the simple stay
At the Beginning
their mind, their mind
Is not for winning

their mind, their
Mind is not for Winning
