World Around Me

I roam through these empty streets, strewn with leaves of autumn shower,
I stand beside the azure lake, sprouting a splash of bright pink flowers,
I close my eyes to hear the pecks of the crested woodpecker on a nearby tree,
While my heart fills with joy and love at the sounds and smells, subtle and yet so free.

About this poem

It's a poem to appreciate the little things one might miss out every day, things that make this world a little less insufferable.
