Upholding Choice in the Land of Liberty
In the somber twilight of Lady Liberty's reign,
A wounded issue dwells, inflicting eternal pain.
There, a question lingers, a knife to the soul,
Should hope be extinguished, leaving hearts cold?
In corridors where choices diverge and collide,
Despair and anguish silently reside.
A symphony of voices, burdened and torn,
In the midst of a battle where empathy is worn.
Tattered rights unravel, their essence decayed,
As shadows of judgment cast a relentless shade.
A woman's autonomy, a fragile ember,
Fading amidst the onslaught of anguish and dismember.
Yet beneath the surface, where tears are concealed,
Silent pleas echo, wounds too deep to be healed.
Life's sanctity proclaimed, as the voiceless suffer,
Ignored, discarded, their dreams left to smother.
In chambers of justice, empathy fades,
Leaving scars of injustice on souls that cascades.
A cruel theater of despair and regret,
Where compassion and solace seldom beget.
Within the dark corners, where sorrow resides,
Lies a tapestry of pain, where truth silently hides.
From shattered dreams to struggles unseen,
Abortion's impact, a torment unseen.
So let our hearts tremble, embracing the weight,
Of the anguish endured, in this somber state.
In the depths of each story, let compassion bloom,
And pierce through the shadows, dispelling the gloom.
In America's lament, where hope still strives,
May empathy reign, where healing derives.
With open hearts, we shall bear witness and see,
A nation of depth, where empathy sets free.
For in the fragments of sorrow, we'll uncover,
The strength to unite, to cherish and recover.
A tapestry reborn, with compassion's decree,
Where every voice matters, where hearts can be free.
