Old Romeo, wherefore art thou?

Paul Kindlon 1952 (a Hospital)

July 23

Grandpa was nodding in his rocking chair

downstage center

rehearsing for the big finale

He had just decided he could no longer fake it

Life was not the same. No longer worth the time. Or effort.

There was really no reason to go on acting

Since his leading lady left the scene

About this poem

That would be like telling you the punch line BEFORE the joke, wouldn't it?
