Oh What Could I Be?

Oh what could I be?
Anything, anything, don't you see
What is it you want to know with me?
A description I shall give to thee

I am majestic and filled with beauty
All over the world one may find me
I am correctly described as unique
And I am easy to find if I am what you seek

So what could I be?
Anything, anything, don't you see
What else do you want to know of me?
A description I shall give to thee

I flow, both quick and slow
And I can be both deep and shallow
Lengthy and short are both true
Describing my sizes and forms, old and new

Oh what can I be?
Anything, anything, don't you see
What is it you want to know of me?
A description I shall give to thee

I do not move, nor do I live
Though wisdom, I sometimes give
I am silly and sad and serious and song
I am also called art, and that is not wrong

So what could I be?
Anything, anything, don't you see
What else do you want to know of me?
A description I shall give to thee

I am old and clear as day
But also new, and a puzzle, some may say
I am numerous and all around,
But I am also one, and sometimes sound

Oh what could I be?
Anything, anything, don't you see
What is it you want to know of me?
A description I shall give to thee

I am many things, both false and true
I may be right in front of you
I am something you might hear
Now think hard, for the end is near

So what could I be?
Anything, anything, don't you see
What else do you want to know of me?
A final description I shall give to thee

I am literature, words, but not exactly
More specifically, I am actually:
An art with rhythm and show
A rhetoric with rhymes in flow

Oh, what could I be?
I am poetry, obviously
I can be anything, anything, don't you see
But now there is much more to know of me
