Lily's Remedy
I'm sat it's 3 am I'm desperate, I need a remedy.
Not just for routine but I'm dissing my self and my own memory.
There's a time when we will cure mental health,
Not a prevention or preclusion but a potion on the shelf.
Feeling like there's a devil dancing with your brain
Telling you to fill the knowledge to the brim.
Then Satan warning you, your hollow after all your work
Then leaving you alone with your halo in the dark.
When it started out it was such a trend
Bending over backwards appreciation towards the Eminem.
Lying on a sofa for days at a time
When it's cold and dark and your counting time.
There's nothing worse than the motion in your brain
Shifting the thoughts around just to numb the pain.
Then you go out and it's like being buried alive
When all your days have been traded for the night.
It's not being bothered about hygiene
Or cleanliness or playing the biggest queen
It's getting back to an even level
Heaven still wants you, but your playing with the devil.
Then trying to keep your dignity whilst fighting the fear
All these voices going on in my ear
There's police asking questions, nurses asking why
But my mental health is caving, and I'm starting to cry.
