Crossroads

In the crossroads' clasp, I'll find my way,
Yet shadows linger, taint the day.
With hesitant steps, I shall depart,
A tremble in my daring heart.

In life's unfolding, twists unknown,
A somber fear I must condone.
For at this juncture, doubts arise,
And paint the world in tearful guise.

I stand betwixt the sun and moon,
A soul enshrouded, like night's cocoon.
The choices loom, a daunting sight,
A haze descends, obscure the light.

Uncertain paths stretch far and wide,
Anxiety swells with every stride.
The past's lament, a haunting breeze,
Regrets that linger, refuse to ease.

Within my heart, a beacon gleams,
A flicker of forgotten dreams.
But doubts persist, their voices clear,
They sow their seeds of trembling fear.

What if I falter, go astray?
What price must I be doomed to pay?
The crossroads bear a heavy toll,
A choice I make, can scar my soul.

Yet, still I wander, lost in thought,
In search of answers yet unsought.
A melancholy, whispered choice,
Amidst the silence, hear my voice.

In the crossroads' grasp, I sway,
In shadows cast, I find my way.
And though sadness may abide,
I'll walk this path with weakened stride.

For life's a tapestry of gray,
A blend of joy and disarray.
In doubt and sorrow, I'll be true,
Embracing all, both old and new.

With hesitant steps, I shall depart,
A tremble in my aching heart.
I'll forge ahead through fog and drought,
And let the crossroads guide my route.
