HOW MUCH PAIN HAVE COST US THE EVILS WHICH HAVE NEVER HAPPENED

In the realm of our minds, such dark shadows cast,
How much pain have cost us, the evils of the past?
The fears that loom large, in our troubled hearts,
Tearing us apart, leaving lasting marks.

But what of those evils, which were never born?
The shadows we conjure, from the depths forlorn,
Anxieties that haunt, in our midnight fears,
Creating specters that bring us bitter tears.

The weight of worry, oh the price we pay,
For the troubles imagined, day after day,
How much pain have cost us, these illusions so grand,
On a canvas of minds, wrought by a trembling hand.

Yet if we dare to ponder, with introspection pure,
Could it be life's wisdom, that we largely obscure?
For evils unexperienced, that never come to be,
May teach us lessons, if only we could see.

Through the depths of despair, a glimmer of light,
Emerges in the darkest hours of the night,
An opportunity to grow, to rise above our fears,
And find strength in our hearts, to overcome the years.

So let us release the grip, of imagined pain,
Focus on the present, rather than the bane,
For the evils that never happened, cannot bind,
Those who choose to seek, the peace they'll find.

In the grand tapestry, of life's intricate dance,
Our imagination weaves, a fickle and fragile chance,
But in the vast expanse, of our limitless minds,
May we embrace the truths, that comfort and bind.

So let not the pain of the unwritten past,
Steal the joy and hope, that in our hearts last,
For the evils that never happened, let them fade,
And embrace the blessings, of the life we've made.
