Galactic Surprise
Galivanting galaxies girate in the ecstatic cosmos,
All the myriads of molecules form the ultimate surprise of logos.
Organic strands of deoxyribos nucleic acid;
The Universes symphony of life is placid.
This new millennium is one of scientific splendour
Cloning, immunisation against cancer and parental candor,
The final masterpiece is total immortality;
Brilliant new medicines staving off decay indefinitely.
Cathedrals spire up to Heaven trying touch God;
God touches us instead the missing lightening rod.
Isis, Osiris and Nephtys why do Americans worship Egyptians?
The Washington Senitaph seem symbolic
of the science of politicians.
Terrorists only see Towers of Babel
in the Twin Towers of Commerce
Blind hatred being their call to arms their motivation of force,
Revolution of force should be conflict resolution;
Cognitive science is the friend of Humanity freedoms
Procreation is true immortality devoid of kingdoms.
Singers of the universal chorus record the music of the orbs
Inseparably locked in the dynamic of opposing death
as the planet absorbs
I think we would like to be pleasant surprised

About this poem
I was born the 8th day of May 1961 in Adelaide South Australia. My parents are Istvan Toth and Anna Johanna Eiken Toth. My father Istvan deceased 9th March 1995. My mother deceased on the 2nd of May 2017. I spent eight years in South Australia growing up watching the “space race”. I have had poetry published. My dear readers and audience my philosophy is that of Emmanuel Kant; one of Humanistic Psychology of Abrams and Maslow. which I studied in tertiary and University. I have a minor with distinction in English literature. The space of life today I believe is in fact “the global village” and like Alan Toffler’s “future shock” with the internet as an umbellicus. I thank all my editors, readers and audience for their patience with my poetical abstractions of life, love and aesthetics. God bless you for my career as a poet. more »
