It recently occurred to me
That you might not be glad to see
The things I post online.

You never say a thing to show
You ever look or care, although
You do say, "Thanks" sometimes.

I've cared about you many years;
My favorite one of all my peers,
But you don't start a chat

The way friends do to show they care
Or maybe just to share a prayer.
I guess such things fall flat.

Despite the West Side years we've known
And light affection I have shown,
I will leave you alone!
