"Echoes of Time: A Tapestry of India's History"

Ancient whispers echo through the land,
Where mighty empires once did stand.
From the Indus Valley to the Gupta reign,
India's past holds stories that remain.

In Mohenjo-daro's ancient ruins,
Lies a civilization lost in time's dunes.
Harappan streets and great bath's glory,
Unveil a civilization's ancient story.

The Maurya Empire, under Ashoka's rule,
Spread Buddhism's teachings as a tool.
From Kalinga's bloodshed to peace's embrace,
His rock edicts inspire across time and space.

The Gupta Dynasty, a golden age,
Mathematical genius on history's page.
Aryabhata's calculations, Sushruta's surgery,
Advancements that shape our modern journey.

But history's wheels keep turning fast,
As ancient moments blend with the past.
Colonial shadows fall upon the land,
As foreign powers take their stand.

From the East India Company's trade,
To the Sepoy Mutiny's uprising cascade.
Struggles for independence, a nation's will,
Gandhi's nonviolence, a movement to fulfill.

Modern India, a land of diverse hues,
Unity in diversity, a value we choose.
From Nehru's vision to Modi's reign,
India's strength, a world's domain.

Through history's tapestry, we see,
The ancient and modern, intertwined and free.
India's story, a vibrant tapestry unfurled,
A journey of a nation, embracing the world.
