Future Gloriole
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
Fear not never be ashamed,
Not confounded or disgraced;
Since your youth, I have proclaimed,
The future how it will taste.
Think as a child no more,
For your maker is the Lord;
Who knows of what is in store,
And your eternal reward.
He is God of the whole earth,
And the Holy Redeemer;
Ensuring your priceless worth,
If you be a believer.
The Lord called you like a wife,
Lonely and grieved in spirit;
A wife cast off in her life,
Come see what you inherit.
For you had felt forsaken,
But He had great compassion;
And the Lord has awaken,
In a spiritual fashion.
For overflowing anger,
From the wrath that hid your face;
Made a feeling of languor,
Eternal love to embrace.
