String Theory
Christina Pouliot 1983 (United States)
A single atom floating ‘round
Is inexplicably connected, bound -
To another he cannot see
She looks at him auspiciously.
Their vast world is now made small
For with great wonder comes great awe.
Thousands of miles are in-between
But disappear once upon a dream.
In these dreams the atoms dance
Brought together by pure happenstance.
Percussion in their electron shells
Causes these atoms to blush and swell.
Fusion is a growing desire;
Infinite possibilities to admire.
This connection felt across great lengths
Highlights all their common strengths.
Only the future can behold
The rest of their story left untold.
What these atoms feel will never die
They are the twinkle in the midnight sky.
