SISTERS

Hope Romero 1949 (Round Rock)

She and I made quite a pair
Running outside without a care
I was more dareing she was more shy
Where ever she was I'd be close by
Always together even when we got mad
We always made up and shared all that we had
Clothes and dolls and dishes and toys
Everything we shared ' til we discovered boys
But even then, we were never apart
We shared everything, that was in our heart
Eventually we married and each had a spouse
With children and responsibilities of running a house
But even though, the years have passed
I pray that our closeness will always last
I pray that this bond will never be broken
That sisterly bond of which I have spoken.
