Promise,

I promise you today,

I promise to hold my faith,

I Promise it will be okay,

I promise to believe and pray



Promise,

I promise you Ill do all I can,

I promise God has the perfect plan,

I promise your mommy's best friend,

I promise one day to see you again



Promise,

Promise me to always keep a smile,

Promise me you'll always carry your Bible,

Promise me you have faith in our trial,

Promise me you believe in my arrival



Promise,

We will always be a family,

God will soon bring you back home to me,

I'm working on myself and my sobriety,

God keeps his promises as long as we believe

About this poem

I wrote this poem called promise. I was in a real bad situation. I lost my children. it's been the hardest thing of all things in life im facing. I picked up something to numb my pain now I'm finding my way back by faith. God has answered my prayers. Although I don't have my children yet it's all a working progress. I'm working on myself as I pray over my problems. Footsteps is the key. Just like things happen then more things happen... I've began to heal from the start where I walked down a dark road. As I see the light I gain faith. I once was blind but now I see. Everything is being held step by step.
