O Come My Love

If I could put my penne to this paper,
And on its sheets pour out my love in reams,
Then would my quill not quiver in love's where,
But make your Form the object of my dreams!
You are the Moonlight gleaming O my fair,
The gentle star progressing with my eyes,
The soft entrancing stare of loving care,
The longing breathless summer of my sighs!
Yet how can I praise more your loveliness?
When Autumn's lease present's a lover's fate!
O make your beauty an abundance bless,
Still wonderful in its confess and state !
Thus never did my Swan appear more worth!
Than in white age all one a loving's mirth !
