Once saved

Valiantstar 1961 (Sydney)

Once saved, always saved.

That's what we're told in church.

But do we really understand what that's worth?

He paid the price to set us free,
His promises are true, indeed.

Free to build on the foundation laid,
No longer to sin a slave.

Our souls cleansed with His precious blood,
To say yes-May be enough?

The Bible is clear our work will be tested.

The day of the Lord is like fullers soap:

Burning the chaff
Consuming
With fire
Amen.

If we build as the master has planned:

Repair the wall
His temple
Our body,
Amen.

And
We will
Build a world
Of him, from which
Cannot enter
Any more sin
All will
Then
Shine
As one
Reflecting the
Beauty of
His only
Son.
