So Often

As everyone knows, it's just how it goes.
Life's changes occur, they say.
Compliance I tried, but then fate denied
Success to win the day.

What can I achieve if starting to grieve?
Mistakes should never define
My hopes or my dreams though sometimes it seems
That failure is so often mine.
