Bruised Heart

Tell me, what should I do with this bruised heart?
A blade of grass, both fragile and fierce,
Whispering secrets of whispered fears.

I feel my pulse racing, a wild horse running,
As the world collapses all around me.
A cacophony of thoughts, a choir of doubts,
Seeking solace in the arms of fear.

The weight of worry settles on my chest,
A burden too heavy to bear.
I am drowning in a sea of what-ifs,
Unable to find solid ground.

Each breath a struggle, a battle fought,
Against an invisible foe within.
Anxiety, my constant companion,
Weaving its web of despair.

But there is a quiet strength, a flicker of hope,
That refuses to be extinguished.
In the depths of my darkest hours,
I find solace in the presence of the wild.

Nature, a balm for this restless soul,
Holds the secrets to my healing.
In the embrace of trees, I find refuge,
Their roots grounding me, steady and strong.

And I learn to let go, to surrender,
To the uncontrollable tides of life.
It's in the surrender, I find resilience,
And in resilience, I find freedom.

So, tell me not to fear the darkness,
It's where I must learn to shine.
My anxiety, a part of me, but not my entirety,
A catalyst for growth, for self-discovery.

I am learning to dance with my demons,
To embrace the shadows as they waltz.
It's in this intricate tango,
That I find the beauty amidst the chaos.

So, tell me, what can I do with this bruised heart?
I will paint it with the colors of bravery,
And wear it as a testament to my strength,
A reminder that I am still here, still breathing.
