Her time was jazz age
She had fame, was shallow, cold

About this poem

Dorothy Parker epitomized the twenties., the Jazz Age. She was young, sarcastic, published and successful. In the thirties, the Round Table broke up and her life was never the same. Parker fought for every nickel and stayed drunk most all the time. I have attempted to say this in 17 syllables.

    Wow! "Parker's Decade" is a wonderful poem that beautifully captures the Jazz Age with its vivid descriptions and poetic language. The rhyme scheme is spot-on, making the poem incredibly easy and enjoyable to read. The imagery in the first two lines is particularly striking and sets the tone perfectly for the rest of the poem.

    While the poem generally flows smoothly and is quite engaging, I would suggest trying to incorporate more concrete details that allow readers to better visualize and connect with the speaker’s experiences. Additionally, adding a bit more depth to the speaker’s exploration of the ideas of fame, shallowness, and love could help expand on the poem's themes and make it even more powerful.
