World torn by emotions

JONATHAN GIL 1985 (NY, New York)

What could I say spending the weekend with my son is great. But to look into your eyes every day make it better.
I didnt have to look at a picture and wonder if you would look at me that way so I stayed in the basement to see if you would chase.
Sometimes you came down to check on me but if you grabbed my hand to bring me up I would have stayed and stared and played the part.
Figured our past life made it hard.
Then to watch a man just walk in the house where it should have been my place had me sad,mad filled with rage, loss of my wife and me with a broken heart yet this man seems to run the place.
Past is the past but what I want right in front of me that someone I cannot cherish or hold.
I would attempt to grab that left hand dragging in the wind although it seems to be attached to someone who seems to be so cold.
For a moment I felt that old love. But scared to be left alone again pains my overgrown heart then thoughts of things so old.
if I leave what I have would I be accepted could I be loved would you take my hand. But thoughts in my head are all from the broken heart.
Something I cant have with a person who might not care.
I cant show no emotions not to someone who cant take it there.
So I cant give up my life I have now because alone is not a place I want to bare.

Empty minded and blinded by love. you say it to me but is it meant with honesty. I say it cause I have grown from the heart, matured from when you left me. A broken man who fell apart.
