Grateful Hearts

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

O God, our God, we sing to you.
We raise a shout of joy!
We want your face to shine on us;
To save our little boy.
He has been sick for so long now,
And often close to death.
I ran to get his medicine,
But he had feared I left.

I never will forsake you son,
Your side we’ll never leave.
Your Father and I love your soul,
If you left we’d be grieved!
So now forever stay with us
And we’ll have lots of fun.
O God, our God, we sing to you,
Because you are the One.

Our one and only Sovereign Lord, Jesus Christ!
All power and glory belong to him! Amen.
