Muddled

The world was too noisy
And I couldn't find quiet.
My thoughts were jumbled
And I needed to clear my mind.
So, I ventured out
Into the rain,
Letting it wash over me,
Hoping it would help me
Think clearly again.
That's when I heard
Someone say that you
Had disappeared into a crowd.
The words bounced off my brain,
Not processing properly.
I couldn't grasp
The meaning behind them,
But I couldn't shake off
The feeling
That there was something important
That I was missing.
I stood there,
Drenched and confused,
Trying to unravel
The mystery of your disappearance.
But nothing made sense,
And my mind was still
As muddled as before.
So, I just stood there,
Under the grey skies,
Waiting for the rain
To wash away the noise
And the confusion,
Hoping that it would bring
Clarity back into my life.
