words like burrs

fitting words piece together
a calque of timeless meanings
dawn spills her poem
sunlight dribbles
jewelled dew on spider webs
sway your body in the melody
maintain your tempo
inhabit songs on recall
distil your longings
seek the cracks
follow the light
feel frayed edges
keep your secrets
dance unseen
catch the words like burrs in your mind

About this poem

I wrote this poem because poetry is a complex piecing together of words in a way that everyone does differently....methods of placing words together to give thoughts to the meaning in a way that i have imagined things.
