Ginger Playground

the location of beggars asking for knowledge
my overwatered memories laid to rest in this ginger playground
vermillion years of concentration
the swings were our temple of our bright eyed innocence
ice cold nights at the brink of dawn and
the escape into our overgrown garden

visiting this ginger playground
is like striking a match with the sun
and holding it in your hand
waiting for the moment it
envelopes our wildest temptations.

About this poem

For me, this poem is about reflecting on memories. I think about how amazing the good ones felt and how I want to keep experiencing memories like them
