Epiphany

Epiphany

By: Shailee

I remember walking in the forest
Between the twigs and under the trees,
Behind the trunks and under the leaves,
I remember seeing tiny treats.

I remembered walking through the forest:
The trees swayed in the gentle breeze,
I stumbled down the greasy twigs,
I remember the Sun like almighty oak standing tall in the sky.
When I with glitching eyes, find myself sweating  in
 a traffic jam.

I could remember the grass as tall as the sky,
While I saw a field of roses nearby,
They scented like a perfume factory nearby.

I remember the trees with loaded jackfruit,
I remember them tasting like factory-made juice of fruits.
Were they with a similar smell of rich-scented watery fresh ripe fruits?

Why is this epiphany of natural flora?
Why do we first feel the factory product and not the farm produce?
I thought while I was walking into the city looking like a concrete forest,
Again and again, until it all came to an end.
