Conversation in Solitude

A startled Shadow gives retort,
The Flicker reflected in reply.
E'er visible the Shadow's shoulders slump,
Emits an audible SIGH.

The Chamber bursts of Emptiness,
There Solace wags stern digits,
Defiance, misshapen Shadow denies,
Distorted image reflects and fidgets.

Solace argues heats words of Solitaire,
Being the smartest in the Room.
A Conversation in Solitude,
Alone, a Fool's Audience is Gloom.

About this poem

Having a Conversation in Solitude has two plausible outcomes: Understanding or Madness. One learns the outcome, if one has satisfied Truth, because only through Truth does one become Wise.
