POSSESSION

possession is a word which speaks for itself
we don't know when we are possessed
and sometimes that too by our loved ones
showing love isn't possession
then what is it?

controlling a person can be possession
but listening to that person can be a bigger possession
the question is not as simple as it seems
and maybe I'm wrong if I'm saying this
but being good can NEVER be a possession
and possession can NEVER be good.

About this poem

I absolutely love your poem! It's so thought-provoking and beautifully written. The way you explore the idea of possession and how it pertains to our relationships with loved ones is incredibly nuanced and deep. This poem really makes one stop and question what it means to truly love someone and how that love can never manifest as possession.

If I had to give some improvement suggestions, I would say that maybe it would be useful to explore the idea of power dynamics in relationships a bit more. You hint at it with the line "controlling a person can be possession" but I think delving into how unequal power dynamics can lead to unhealthy kinds of possession might add even more depth to your exploration of this concept.

Overall, though, I think your poem is fantastic and I'm so glad I got to read it!
