Sonnet # 4

Luis A Estable 1958 (Oriente, Cuba)

It's love that keeps my heart and mind so rich.
It's love that puts tears down my mature face.
And I don't have my thoughts troubled with itch
For love puts in my heart joy no to erase.
A bird, his beautiful, clear singing voice.
A flower in warm summer, winter snow.
And children when they play when they rejoice,
And I do feel my human feelings grow.
So, you know now, my Sir, that you do read
A man who knows the beauty of these things.
Who is a simple prince thus does not need
Pearl necklaces or shiny, golden rings.
The wonders of the world are indeed many.
The sound or rain through happy ears heard pretty.
