Metal Sign

Everything that was normal, is no longer. " You will find a new normal" Im tired of hearing. And no time dont heal all. I will never be cured and no it aint making me stronger. This woman looked down and watched me take my first breath, she was the one who held my finger when I took that 1st step. Introduced me to the water at the beach, or my 1st upside down roller coaster 'Anaconda" from kings dominion. "move on" they say, everyone got a fucking opinion. Shes the one showed me how to drive, without her my heart feels it might not survive. She raised 3 kids, pretty much on her own. Daddy stayed home from time to time. When he wasnt in rockhall being a hoe. Where ever mama was, so was I. I felt the moment I snapped. Something in my brain flashed, "Shes gone" rings loud and clear. So much, so loud its all I hear. It throws me back to Dr Seuss's, "Have you seen my mother"? 64 Years of life lived, reduced to a mere metal sign. I stood there for hours on end, waiting for my bestfriend (mom) to call. But you'd call no more, you died before mookies 16th birthday, right before fall. Memories flashed of us always together. Memories were being all shot up in the brain, life after has never been the same, I want to get off this ride. I stared and stared at that little metal sign. Thats the exact moment something in my brain and heart came apart. All I could hear was "She's gone". I snapped! Shit will never be the same. Im what the young folks say "capped". I rpomise you when its your time, to see your mothers name on that little metal sign. your gonna question and ask god why? But theres only one truth, we are all here to just die.
