Free verse
Here I am , again.
So much space between us.
Chasing lies around like fireflies in the night sky.
Screaming in silence because my words never reach you.
Yet...
Here I am, again.
Lonely.
Peeking through the shadows of pain you've left behind
My heart is behind bars, pumping its last beat
The rhythm that drove my soul is slowly fading away into the deep sea until suddenly
I am nothing, too you.
Yet here I am, again
Lonely.

About this poem

This poem is about having fell in love and losing it again but always returning to it. Returning to the same broken relationship because you/I believe in the lies that are whispered to me when I find strength to leave. Silently shutting down with a heavy heat.
