No Longer Believes

I no longer believe
in hearsay;
or in rumours;
I now believe
in seeing
 and believing;

I have been deceived a lot
by believing: hook, line and sinker.

I have been ruined a lot
by simply conceding;
to my detriment;
to my foolery;
to my scorn;
to my own regrets.

I now believe in myself-
think my own thoughts,
feel my feelings;
hear my own voices;
reason my own
ways.

I no longer believe in prophecies;
not even in destinies;
nor in predictions-
the world is full of deceits.
I AM NOW MY SELF.
