Distance
Heart sank knowing hours away you are
The only hope is we see the same star
Kids grew up on back to back video calls
Ah, only if we could come flying to y'all
Ma says you loved the winters
Who told you to go reside in the winters?
I saw everyone's smile fading away with the dawn
The moment you stepped out and were gone
You take a part of us with you
Every time you come for a few
The law should change, of marriage
The boy should come in a carriage
Your mother aches every time
You are mentioned in a chime
Distance keeps people apart, they say
But I don't see it, you're in our heart anyway
I envy people seeing you in a heartbeat
Knowing your family yearns to meet
Hoping to see you in your dreams
Let me sleep after eating this ice cream!
