Stanzas Written in Dejection in Venice : Soul's Solace in Venice's Street
In Venice's streets, I roam in dejection,
My pen in hand, and paper by my side,
Words seem to escape me, a muse in flight,
The sea's serenade lost on the night,
Each note a memory, each chord a sigh,
As I wander, the city's beauty in sight.
Canals, their waters still, reflect the light,
A starry sky, like jewels in reflection,
Venetian masks, their smiles but a sigh,
For joy is fleeting, a moment by my side,
Like the tide, it ebbs and flows, day to night,
Leaving only a trace, a fleeting sight.
The gondolas glide, like swans in flight,
Their songs a melody, to soothe my dejection,
The water's gentle lullaby, soothing the night,
My soul yearning for a moment of reflection,
As the city's beauty offers solace by my side,
And I write stanzas, my pen but a sigh.
For in Venice, I find beauty in the sigh,
As the city's magic takes me on a flight,
To a world of wonder, where sadness is by my side,
And inspiration comes from my dejection,
And I find myself lost in deep reflection,
As I write my stanzas, through the night.
In this city of masks, I find delight,
As I walk the streets, my heart taking flight,
And I pour my soul onto the paper in reflection,
The beauty of Venice, a balm to my dejection,
And the stanzas I write, a release of my sigh,
Each word a memory, each line by my side.
The moon rises high, casting its reflection,
On the still waters of the Venetian night,
Its gentle light, a source of my inspiration,
As I write stanzas, my pen taking flight,
Each line a reflection of my soul's dejection,
Each word a balm, for the pain in my sigh.
In Venice's alleys, I find hidden beauty,
In the shadows and the silence of the night,
A world of secrets, a source of reflection,
As I write stanzas, my pen taking flight,
My heart open, my soul free of dejection,
Each word a whisper, a soft-spoken sigh.
The city's history, a source of my inspiration,
As I wander its streets, lost in deep reflection,
The ghosts of Venice, always by my side,
Haunting me with their stories, long into the night,
And I write stanzas, my pen in flight,
Each word a tribute, to their beauty and dejection.
For in Venice, I find beauty in my dejection,
A city of contrasts, of light and shadow,
And I write stanzas, my pen taking flight,
Each word a reflection, of my heart's delight,
And though I may sigh, in the stillness of the night,
I find solace, in the beauty of my inspiration.
And so, I write stanzas, through the long Venetian night,
Each word a reflection, of my soul's dejection,
And yet, in their beauty, I find my inspiration,
For in Venice, even in my darkest hour, I find delight,
And though I may sigh, my pen takes flight,
As I find solace, in the stanzas I write.
