Once Upon a Dream

The first star of the night was found while rain
rapped at the window. The moon lulled a hypnotic
verse, holding the night rapt such as many
before.  All the days’ thoughts are muddled,
water-colored, sending messages wrapped
in bows. It is here that I will meet my concealed
self waiting for abandonment of ego. The vivid
stories of my mind’s eye are alive, and they
will bring awareness by and by.
