Whenever

Don't be sad at my demise
Wipe all the tears from both your eyes,
Think of me as somewhere else,
Talk to me just like yourself.

Each quiet moment on your own
Please share with only me alone,
Unlock the memories you hold
Of me before I grew too old.

The path I've laid I hope you'll tread
Your wisdom borne from the words I've said,
Your fresh horizon now should see
A clearer view of your destiny.

Whatever sadness hides inside
You must embrace it far and wide,
The future now depends on you
And everything you choose to do.

If times ahead hold dark and fear
Without my guiding words to cheer,
Just look within yourself and see
You're very much the same as me.

For where you are, I once was too
The thoughts I had are now in you,
The answers that I found for me
Are there for anyone to see.

Don't look too hard at distant past
The future gets here much too fast,
Live for the memory, for today
Live happy is the only way.
