The Strain of Knowledge

I grew up overshadowed by knowledge
Where the books, spoke wisdom
Scenes of wild thoughts running untamed
Oh how I wished it were me

I got myself together and built a dream
In good hopes, I worked the mind
But come the boogieman the woods overwhelmed me
Down the long journey, how I wished I were myself

Since my soul left me, got no place to breathe
No one caring, No one around

There's a whisper in the Montana breeze
Grey foreheads build where the wind cries
Sun in the morning strangers, starlight in chains
Nothing matters, no words are spoken

The brook is silent now the water runs no more
And birds no longer fly, the sky is full of cries
The stars shine for others when my night is dark
A hole formed in my mind, but no damage was visible

Since knowledge left me, got no place to go
No one caring, No one around
